We have yet to experience the warming trend that has already passed through Carol’s Indiana garden. The snow still lies deep over all but the south-facing narrow border in the backyard. So I have just a few volunteer hold overs from early winter indoor bloomers.

None the less I am encouraged not only by the promise of spring blooms in the near midwest but also by the angle of the sunlight on our cloudless days.  Although the temps are below freezing still, with sunshine pouring down on our black top driveway, snow and ice MELT. Hurrah!!!!
